In an attempt to differentiate itself from other open-world games developed by Ubisoft – by the time of its release – Watch Dogs’ story takes place in a modern urban setting and is focused on the use of technology. Mario Kart 8 is hands down the best entry in the Mario Kart series. The slight modifications and additions made to the actual racing are beneficial to the experience, the track design is consistent and creative, and its presentation is simply impeccable. It’s just a pity that it refuses to bring any new game modes to the table; being an excellent but safe sequel.

Earthlock is an unpretentious RPG that fails to leave any sort of mark. Its story is basically non-existent, with paper-thin characters and a severe lack of tension and thematic purpose. Its dynamic combat system may be indeed dynamic and engaging, but it can’t save an otherwise forgettable title.
